OUR NEW TRADITION: THE MAGICAL SECOND NIGHT OF LUMINARIAS PARTY

The Social Committee, Kids’ Club, and Vision 3.5 Committee have teamed up to host a gathering at Walton Park (3rd Avenue and Holly/Monte Vista) on the evening of Monday, December 23. This is the second annual Second Night of Luminarias Party – it’s your opportunity to get out on foot or on your bicycle to spread holiday cheer. Visit with your neighbors and see how charming each street is when it’s lit by the “candlelight” of luminarias. The First Place Coffee Truck will join us again this year, setting up shop at the park from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. The menu will include hot chocolate along with other warm beverages and treats, so bring some cash and enjoy. Also consider bringing your own mug from home if the holiday spirit moves you. Then, a family-friendly bike ride led by the Phoenix Spokes People will depart Walton Park at 6:30 p.m. to weave through the neighborhood and behold the luminarias and other holiday decorations. Prior to the ride, the Vision 3.5 Committee will have colorful electroluminescent wire for sale to decorate bicycles so they are not only festive, but also more visible at night. Bring some cash, come early, and decorate your ride! Santa will make an appearance again this year, too.
